[Rubi is just leaving his room when he sets his journal down. That's when the journal picks up the following conversation between Naoki and Rubi.]
Rubi! I got something neat, come see!
...What is that?
It's a mini-fridge! I found it down at the shops-- isn't it going to be useful?
What does it do?
Huh? Well, it stores food, like an icebox! Except more convenient, 'cause you don't have to use ice and you just have to plug it into the wall here...
Electricity again?
Yeah! It makes things pretty easy...well, I guess not for everyone, but still...
And why is it in our living room?
Isn't it easier? I mean, don't want to go using the fridge out in the kitchen area, right? It's gonna get pretty cluttered.
[A short pause] Can't we put it somewhere else?
I could...put it in another room if it's in the way...

[Sounding disappointed...] Well, okay then...

[There's a shuffling of sounds as Rubi grabs the journal again and leaves, noticing the conversation's been picked up.]
