Hi everyone! I thought it would be nice if we could get some more discussion going in here, and get to know each other a little better. We don't get a lot of that going on :) So feel free to post and ask questions for other community members to answer periodically

We celebrate Halloween. As a matter of fact, it is my favorite holiday (followed closely by Christmas). My family always really got into Halloween (my dad's birthday is the day before, and every year he runs a home yard haunt on Halloween for the trick or treaters), and I guess I caught the bug early. So autumn is one of my favorite times of year, because there is so much to do

We'll dress up the kiddo and take her trick-or-treating on Hallowe'en, and I'll participate in a Day of the Dead/Samhain ceremony as well.

oh, how did I forget to mention trick or treating?

What does your daughter want to be this year? My son has decided he wants to be a robot Frankenstein, lol.
I was thinking of dressing my 2 year old as Marilyn Monroe. Which sounds gauche out of context, which is that she saw a picture of Marilyn and thought it was her. So it would be sort of an inside joke. Haven't planned my own costume yet though!

Do you do your own Day of the Dead / Samhain ceremony, or do you participate in a group? What do you do, if it isn't too personal?
