It will take me some time to generate a good number of them, I'm not nearly so capable as a high ranking sorcerer. But, they should work simply enough, I could have them give a minor attack when disturbed, or put out an alarm. The alarm seems more useful, though perhaps on sensitive items I could place one that shocks unwelcome hands?

That it can, but not being aware of those you let in near you can be just as bad. But, he paid a high price for that mistake, didn't he?

They are a sort of either casting. They can be instructed to do various tasks and are quite useful.

It's a type of either casting. You can create them to do small and simple tasks, they will preform them automatically, and are automated, thus auton.

In sense, yes. Though it is a manipulation of energies. Magic is more a word for being able to do something we don't understand how.
