Mina has started just this week, chewing on our doorways! She's gotten two different ones now - I have NO IDEA how we're going to fix them so that we get our deposit back. And last night, she started chewing on her crate! I am hoping that it's just because she's at that age where she has to be a shit and that this isn't the start of some sort of ( Read more... )

Is she teething? And can you get that icky tasting stuff to put on the doors and her crate?

See you tonight!

She has all of her doggie teeth in already - at least all the ones for which she had puppy teeth...she lost those about 2-3 months ago.

The icky tasting stuff doesn't work all that well on her, so we use cayenne pepper, which works WAY better. And yes - we've doused the door ways and such - I'm hesitant to do her crate because I'm afraid it will get on her bed or something, but still.... I just hope this she passes through this phase quickly.

If you're trying to cayenne pepper on things and are worried about it staying put, mix it in with vaseline then spread it on stuff! It works really well, assuming your dog doesn't like cayenne.

When Koda started chewing the wall, NO taste deterrent worked -- she just licked them all off! So, be glad at least you can get her to stop! :D

my cat likes to scratch on doorways. but luckily i think i can just sand those down and repaint. this sounds much more concerning. also, next time i'm in town, i need to meet Mina - i've heard so many good things about her (besides this one, of course!).
