I would be locked away in some asylum if I told anyone this, but I’m able to cross over into another world. It’s not like any of those technological things like a teleportation device. It was something I was born with. I’m able to jump between my physical world and a world called Aether.
Sometimes, Aether’s called the Void, Endless Void and the like, but it’s just a dream world.
Through my dreams, I can reach this other world.
It’s hard to describe that place because the settings may change. The people I see there can’t perceive me either. Only I can see them and not the other way around. To them, I am but a wandering ghost, a spectator in the show of their lives.
So far, I’ve probably dreamed of a thousand lifetimes whether I’ve remembered them or not.
Those people I dream of --- they can never look upon me as I look at them.
That’s the fate of a dreamwalker. And that’s what I am.
Sometimes, it’s lonely. I hope that there are others who can do this too. I mean, because being the only light in Aether’s darkness, it’s really lonely. It’s then when I wonder: can others meet me here too?
