Summary: Donghae is cold...and at the same time touched by his hyung's warm gesture.
It. Is. COLD.
Donghae knows this. He’s known it since the moment he stepped into the upstairs dorm from the heavily snowing, freezing winter weather outside. What he had expected was a nice, warm air enveloping him the moment he steps into the dorm; however, he was met by this. By this…this…freakin’ human sized freezer!
Therefore, Donghae sat on the leather (Who’s idea was it to buy a leather couch anyway?! Oh wait…it was his…) couch watching TV with his arms wrapped around his shivering frame.
Having his schedule done with for the day, he had nothing else to do. So Donghae sits there. Shivering and freezing his ass off. He is annoyed, to be completely honest.
An hour ago, he had called the manager complaining about it, but the manager said that it was because the heater was broken, and that it won’t be fixed until tomorrow. Donghae finds the utterly ridiculous. Don’t they have BACK UP ENGINES?!
Suddenly, Donghae hears the door open and he looks up to see Kangin enter the room. Donghae smiles brightly when his hyung enters the room, slightly sleepy and yawning.
“H-hi hyung,” Donghae greets. His voice is a little hoarse from not having talked in two hours.
“Donghae-ah…are you cold?” Kangin asks, hearing the stutter.
Donghae is about to say no when he sneezes. Kangin looks at his dongsaeng in concern.
“Maybe,” Donghae replies, reaching for a tissue and wiping his nose. He hears Kangin get up and leave the room. Donghae wonders what Kangin is doing when the latter returns with a blanket and drapes it on top of Donghae. Kangin also gets under the covers and lifts an arm, inviting Donghae closer to him.
Donghae smiles brightly and scoots over. He feels Kangin’s muscular arm wrap around his shoulders as he snuggles deeper into the blanket and against his hyung’s firm, yet sleep-warmed body.
Kangin ruffles Donghae’s hair as the latter begins to doze off. However, Donghae falls asleep with a smile on his face because the gesture doesn’t just make him physically warm. It also makes him feel warm on the inside, and to Donghae, he thinks it’s the best warmth out of them all.
