I fucking hate that shit. I notice the older generation seems to think it's "ok" to do thing like this. My mother and grandparents did similar thing to me while I was growing up.

I'm so sorry Leo. I hope someone found your little boy and decided to take him in and love him.

whats really sad is the mentality that Dogs have no feelings...I'm so hating him right now...I'm ashamed to call him my father.
I'm sorry you had to deal with shit like this too...and thank you for your words..i hope so too.

My mother did that to me with my cat at age 14--took her to the woods and let her go. One of the reasons I've been estranged from her since I was 15. Not saying you should do so...there were many more factors, but still, I feel your pain.

Post a pic on Craigslist under lost, post notices around his work area....he can't take them all down. If you have time, drive around the area between home and work...zig-zag a little. If you don't have time, ask a friend to.

I'm sure the fact that he's a good puppy, will keep him safe. If all else, someone will love him.

thank you so much H.
I'm sorry your mother did that...its terrible. But I know I can never forgive ..or look at him the same every again. and my idea of getting married has been erased, because per usual I want him to be involved...but now I just dont care if he is around for that. Now my dude doesnt want to have anything to do with him either. He's also hurt about this too. ugh I thought he cared about my wishes, but he's just disgusting.

37 has good advice, and you don't need your dad at your wedding, trust me!

We should talk!

Call ALL of the shelters anywhere near and between the house and work. God forbid, the poor guy be euthanized.

if for any reason you get him back, please let me babysit or someone else but do not bring him back to that house. People who show no empathy for animals are likely to do worse when they feel resentful towards an animal. I will babysit until you find a place to live.

good point...I didnt realize if by some chance I did get him back that I couldnt possibly keep him here. Thanks for that idea and offer. I know he is capable of worse...he's etched it in my head since I was a young'un.
He was never kind to dogs...and its insane that he was the one who brought him home and was totally excited about it too, at the time...crazy old man. anyways, thanks D.
