Looks like a hostage exchange the way they are walking in opposite directions. Jack would sacrifice himself for her or his country and that is why Chloe looks so sad. Thankyou is the word that has signified so much between them throughout all the seasons. Whenever there has been a touching moment between them he always says it. I think it means so much more than just gratitude and they both know it. That touch of the hands was just so moving.

I thought he was saying "take it" and handing her something. I agree about the hostage thing but I wonder if the hand holding thing was to pass her something.

I think he is saying go as they hold hands only because I translated the subtitles on screen! He could still be passing her something though,

I couldn't hear what they were saying. I did notice it was daytime. I think what we saw were the last few minutes of the show. I think that is proof Chloe survives. I think they are either saying goodbye or he negotiated a pardon on her behalf. As repetitive and predictable as it seems, I don't think Audrey survives, or if she does something really bad has happened like she is bad or something. I think he is too upset to return at this point. I think he is leaving in some capacity. Could be wrong, but it is my opinion. If this is the case, buck up shippers J/C will live on. We know if they get together at all it won't be until they are completely done. We also know it sounds like they are bringing it back. So if Chloe survives and jack doesn't end up w/ Audrey then we have at least one a portion of the battle.

Having played that video over a few times I'm pretty sure after Jack says its time for her to go home Chloe says thankyou and Jack says go. Its difficult to be sure as the sound quality is bad but the subtitles do help!I won't trust that Chloe is ok until the final credits roll because you can never trust 24 and its final twists. I'm still going with a hostage exchange being the likely scenario.

I don't think this has to do with anything, but the way they hold hands is similar to how Jack and Audrey did in...season 4, if I remember. Again, I'm sure it means nothing, just thought it was interesting and kind of cute.

The UK Sky promo shows a slightly earlier part of the Jack and Chloe hostage exchange with Chloe saying to Jack that he doesn't have to do this. Not sure who is holding Chloe but doesn't look Chinese.

I really hope the ending is Jack sacrificing himself for Chloe, and I hope there is more to that moment than just the hand holding. I hope she finally tells him she loves him. Doesn't have to be meant romantically, I just want her to say the words to him.
