Since the last time she saw him, Chloe couldn't get Oliver out of her head. That wasn't exactly unusual for her, since the first time, when he grabbed her off of the kitchen counter, he had been in her mind constantly, especially at night, when she was on her own and couldn't sleep because she couldn't stop thinking about him and how he could make her feel.
But this time, it had nothing to do with his prowess in bed and all to do with the things he said before he left to Star City.
As hard as she tried to ignore it, she couldn't seem to, she couldn't seem to forget the way he looked at her when he was telling her those things, he sincerely believed she could be good for someone, that she could be good for him.
On top of that, he told him he had fallen for her and he was willing to ignore how he felt for the sake of their friendship. Like she had before. And now she was putting him through what she had gone through and she felt awful about it, especially because she knew he was thinking she was doing this because she didn't return his feelings.
And she didn't, because she wasn't allowing herself to, because she had the feeling that if she let herself go, she would fall for him. Hard. And that scared her.
Chloe didn't know which was worse, she couldn't seem to decide it, but until them, she wanted to make sure he was okay, even if her instincts told her to pull away from him as far as she could, she simply couldn't do that to him.
They had been emailing back and forth a couple of times a day, not as often as they used to, but since today she hadn't heard from him all day, when she got home, she picked up the phone and called him. She didn't know what to say, but she needed to check in.
