I miss my livejournal ladies! I've been off-line at home since late November and have no time at work to keep up let alone write. However, since I've barely accomplished anything today why start now? I just worked my way back three pages to the last post I had read and now a quick note from me

Congrats for being on the rise - beats making the paper for a felony or something, eh?

On the inclusion note - I'd love to read your thougts about that. We have always been against for our personal beauty (he's deaf AND autistic. His one month stint in a deaf classroom was spent exclusively under a table avoiding his IA), but I get it. I think it might take a mighty special mainstream classroom to do it well, and as a mainstream teacher I know that the structure of most schools isn't great for creating that classroom. That said, I hate to see kids at my school huddled away in corners learning vocational skills and I will fight that for my kiddo if anybody ever tries it. It's a very complicated question that I keep thinking about. It's also not going to happen for C without a law suit and an half, so maybe I haven't thought about it because I don't want to. BAbbling now.
