Smallville Patriot Review

Nov 20, 2010 01:37

This is my first post in my journal.

At first I thought that I was going to be able to handle the last and final season of Smallville without seeing much of my favorite character Chloe, but this season has gone downhill after Homecoming in my opinion. I'm tired of the Lois and Clark show already. The thing that makes me the angriest is that they have stopped mentioning Chloe as if she doesn't exist or that she hasn't played a huge roll on the show.

This was clearly evident in this episode in where the government want all of the so called vigilantes to sign up and register kind of like how sex offenders have to register I guess. Clark plays his normal emo game of what to do and what is right crap and decides to be the first one to sign the act. After talking about it with Clark, Oliver decides since he was the first one to reveal his identity to the world he would actually be the one to do the deed. He only really agreed to do it because he was suspicious of what would happen to the vigilantes once they sign the act.

AC comes back with his wife Mira and they end up blowing up some oil rig then kissing. Okay. The actress that played her was horrible. She seemed so cold and it just seemed as if something was off with her.  Alan Ritchson's acting as AC was weird too this time around. I did like the fact that he stood up to Clark though, even though I don't remember what was said between them. Lois was being her normal annoying self this episode. It's not enough that Clark has told her his biggest secret, but she has to know every little thing he does and where he is. Just because he didn't answer his phone she threatens to stab Emil in the neck to get Clark's location. After getting Clark's location from him she tells him that she was playing and wasn't really going to hurt him. Another unnecessary scene. How she claimed to know who Emil was is still baffling to me. Something about she heard Clark mentioning his name a lot. So what. She drew that big of a conclusion. Come on. The writing has gotten so bad on this show.

After all of that, she goes to Florida and tells Clark something that he already knows. Oliver is in trouble. No shit! It happens in almost every episode he is in this season. Hopefully when Chloe returns his beatings will end, lol. AC and Oliver end up being held in one of the supposed oil rig places and tortured. They are then saved by AC's wife, who in turn needs to be saved by him afterwards. So boring. Clark gets trapped in a kryptonite type cell. How many times are we going to do this? Eventually everyone gets out in time before the place blows up.

Since Clark has felt guilty throughout this episode about not telling Lois everything he decides to take her to Watchtower. I could feel the anger rising at that point. They were met by Tess and Oliver who I think had the same reaction I did to Lois being there.  Well Oliver anyway. What the hell Clark? He then began telling her what all goes on there. Not one person mentioned who really runs the show there and that Tess is just to fill in for Chloe temporarily. Why isn't Lois asking more questions about where Chloe is. What does she think she does all day? She does know that Chloe isn't working at Isis anymore and Jimmy is dead right?  I forgot, she's too focused on Clark/The Blur as opposed to finding out was going on with her own flesh and blood.

This episode was forgettable and the show is getting crazier and crazier. I mean didn't Clark shoot a guy  a couple of episodes back in Harvest. What the hell was that? It wasn't even necessary. Although it was pretty funny. What happened to all of his lectures about not killing anyone. I'm pretty sure that's what the shotgun ended up doing buddy.

I was bored through most of this episode. The only part I did enjoy was seeing Oliver's body and him working out.

Anybody agree or disagree?
