So, I'm in Israel. I could write a lot right now about miscellaneous things including the lack of cool stuff in my square(s) and the accompanying archaeological and intellectual boredom and disappointment, or about how I'm climbing out on an emotional limb and am generally freaked about it because the short-medium term future doesn't look nearly ( Read more... )

Yeah that's the trick of science though isn't it? I know many grad students here in their 5th year who have yet to find anything beyond the status quo.

Even though they've had really good ideas that might have shown something really cool, and went on to pursue them with skill and hard work... they still haven't managed to get anything worth publishing.

So, I'm sorry your square seems boring. Maybe you'll find something surprising? :)

I enjoyed how Google Maps can't figure out where Kibbutz Kfar Szold is when I clicked on your current location link. Oooh, maybe in Minnesota, close to Macalester College? Or how about New York? Ohh, I know! It's in Florida!

Or maybe that's not really amusing. I don't know. I'm tired.
