Hello! *waves sheepishly* I know I disappeared and have been completely ignoring comments/nudges wondering where I am. I apologize for that. It was terribly rude of me. For some reason I seem to have developed a very big mental block about coming to lj/dw at all - I haven't even been reading anything here. However, I do think about everyone I know

Right now I'm into cream cheese crust myself. I keep switching and trying new ones but I have to say that the cheese makes it very easy a dough to roll out.

honestly, i hate tumblr.
it makes no sense to me.
i hate that you can't have a conversation like you can here on LJ.
all tumblr seems to me to be is people passing stuff on that other people made.
and maybe not being able to have conversations is the point of it, but I don't like it. I troll through some tumblr sites because they have pictures of people that i used to get here on LJ, but I limit it to about 10 minutes each night because mostly the sites i do look at duplicate what i already saw somewhere else because all anybody does is repost others' stuff... and so the cycle begins again - a bit like an ouroboros.

Maybe my figure pictures would be a hit on Tumblr, but if everyone is just reposting I am a bit afraid of nobody knowing the original source anymore? And does the person originally posting it, even know how much they are loved by everyone? It feels a bit like sharing stuff without giving credit.
I'm really missing you, Chloris, you always had such nice posts and also nice thoughts on mine.

You don't have to get on tumblr but you also don't have to worry that people won't know it was you who posted. It is all about reblogging - which has the history of the post attached (the names of everyone who reblogged or liked the post) and has the original poster linked. The source is always right there on the post making it easy to see where it came from. Reposting (which would be making a new, original post) someone else's work is quite frowned on.
So there is definitely credit to the originator. Also, I get notifications every time someone likes or reblogs anything I've posted so I know exactly how much my posts are enjoyed and by whom.

Again, not sure if you saw my message on Tumblr, but I'm now a HUGE Doctor Who fan and hope we can talk about it together! Not to mention once Once returns!
Is there a chance you're on FB? If you are and want to add each other PM me.

Huge Doctor Who fan, hey? Which Doctor is your Doctor? Are you a new Who fan or one of the whole show? I probably should scan through some of your posts. *g*
No. No facebook for me. I've resisted thus far! Which is probably good. See what happened when I tried to stay active on two social media sites? I'm not sure how I could handle three.

Oh, yes, HUGE fan!! I remember Tom Baker from when I was a kid, but I don't know if I ever saw a complete episode of the old Who. So, 9 is my Doctor, but I love 9, 10 and 11. And I do want to get into the old Who, as well. But, yes, please do check out my LJ!

As for staying in touch, I'm happy to give you my email. I'll message you.
Ah, a 9 fan. A smaller group than the 10 or 11 fans but a proud group. He only had one season but it was a GOOD one. Davies knew exactly how to get the franchise started again.
