Open: Quidditch Pitch

Oct 21, 2011 14:48

The narrow window of ideal autumn flying weather had passed several weeks ago, but Cho was determined to get in some extra practice. Her perpetual distraction over the summer had prevented her from practicing seriously, and she felt it was beginning to show. She soared around the pitch gaining more speed and confidence the longer she flew ( Read more... )

Harper arrived at the Pitch about 10 minutes then he was suppose to meet Andrew. Daniel wanted to do a few warm-up laps before practicing with the Gryffindor. Even though he was the reserve seeker for Slytherin, and odds where that he would be warming benches this year again, Daniel still took Quidditch very serious. He eyed the field sharply and looked up noticing Cho in flight. He couldn't help but smirk some before cupping his hands together and yelled up in the air " You going to catch the snitch before Potter flying like that? Lean forward and shift your weight!" half teasing half trying to help the young Ravenclaw girl. Hoping she could tell he was just trying to help her performance.

After shaking his head some, he put on his green tinted goggles that where hanging loose around his neck and chanted to his broom "UP!" Then he mounted it and headed in flight with his green and white Slytherin Quidditch robes billowing in the wind behind him.

Cho pulled her broom to a sudden stop, startled by the presence of another student on the pitch.

She glared at him--mentioning Harry in any circumstance was not going to endear anyone to her, and the boy had some how managed to say something even more upsetting that Harry usually was. "I know what I'm doing, thanks," she responded coolly, "and I doubt you have what it takes to beat Harry either."

'Girls really should not play quidditch' Harper thought to himself 'Horrible skill' he muttered. Then, on his broom he took flight allowing the wind moved beneath his robes in the air. He took off a quick left then a quick right and smirked ' I will be waiting!' Daniel felt through the folds of his Slytherin robes with his thumb and graps a golden snitch. "Here!" He flicked the snitch through his thumbs as it took off in the wind. "Go Seek!" he harped.

As much as Cho would like to think she was above mentally calling someone a pompous git, it wasn't true. Letting a Snitch out for practice on a grim day like this was ridiculous. However, that was not in the least going to stop her from trying to catch it, so she made a quick pin turn in the appropriate direction, and sped off after it.

She was going to show this Slytherin up, and that wasn't going to be achieved by talking.

Daniel sat in mid air on his timber made broom. As he sat in mid air he held both his arms crossed behind his head and eyed the snitch as it dissapeared in sight. Harper then cocked his head sideways watching Cho as she chased after the snitch. 'Good luck with that one' he thought to himself. Daniel wasn't going to play fair in practice as it was he had charmed the snitch is fly hoodwinked. He squited his eyes some then he looked down towards the ground as another student walked on the field.

After making a sloppy turn around the goal posts (she had really been going far too fast), Cho caught sight of Harper, who very clearly hadn't moved. This was ridiculous.

"I'm not chasing after a Snitch for you amusement," she told him flatly, jerking her broom to a stop inches away from him.

"Oh" Harper said in with a hint of a depressive tone in his voice. "Err..." sratching his head for a second pondering if he should go after a bewitched snitch or not. His wand was in his school robes and there was no way of changing the spell now. He then came to the conclusion, 'Why not! It would be good practice'. Harper darted quick to the left and fly higher and higher.

Still no sign of the snitch.
