Title: Cold
Pairing: ohyass
Rating: G
Summary: Yasu feels cold now that Ohkura's gone.
Author's Notes: finally I get to write ohyass :D! Was suffering from ohyass draught lately...

Shota sits on the window seat, a small glass of alcohol in his right hand as he stares out the window. It's raining outside. He watches as tiny little raindrops slowly drip down the windowpane. A lightning flashes, painting the scene outside with a flash of white momentarily before everything returns to normal. A few second later, the deep rumbling sound of thunder follows. Shota doesn’t flinch like he normally would. He doesn’t even blink his eyes. He just continues to stare.

This apartment that he is now; the apartment which he used to share with Ohkura feels empty without him. The former warmth that it exudes is gone. All that’s left now is just cold, desolate silence. He wakes up every morning feeling cold because Ohkura wasn’t there to keep him warm. When he walks, he puts his hands in his pocket because there’s no Ohkura to keep them warm. And when he gets back, he turns the heat on, the lights on and the television on, volume as loud as possible because without Ohkura, the apartment feels too big, too empty.

Shota turns his attention back to his drink. He swirls the glass, mesmerized by the circular pattern that forms on the surface. It feels colder than usual today. Maybe it’s because of the rain or maybe it’s an entirely different thing.

But Shota is sick of being in the cold. He yearns for some warmth, some comfort. Abruptly, he stands, eyes filled with resolve. He walks over to the sink, pours the remaining liquid and gently places the glass at the bottom. He heads for the door, grabbing his jacket and umbrella on the way out. With every step he takes, Shota is more determined to step out of the cold. In one way or another, he is going to find his happiness again. He lets the door slam shut behind him, leaving that cold empty apartment behind.
