Your lockdowns and ours have nothing in common! That, I would not call any sort of lockdown... That being said, I am happy for your sake that you get to do such escapades! ; )
Rl friends did that to me both online and in rl without explanation. It baffled me and I find it cowardly, but it is best to accept it and move on. Hurts, of course. But I prefer to focus on the people who stay!
I know, it's insane. It's a partial lockdown at the moment, so we're allowed to go outside, but hotels are not allowed to host tourists, bars, restaurants, cafes, spas, pools, fitness studios etc. all is closed, only the necessary shops are open.
In fact, I'm quite sure that stricter measures are coming along the way soon and I'm not looking forward to it. And then there are countries like Japan that still can enjoy their freedom to the fullest.
Thank you. Yeah, these are what keeps me sane in these times. ^^;
Yes, you are right. But of course, you still wonder why?! :) ....
Well, when I was in France I also experienced a few things that didn't make any sense. Like super crowded restaurants and cafes, with ZERO distance. Like in Germany tables have to be set 2 m apart from each other to keep the minimal distance. We also have to fill out a form stating who we are, contact information, when we went there at which table we sat which could help tracing down a superspreading event etc.
But in France you had to put on your mask as soon as you left the crowded restaurants and went outside. That was bizarr! .....
Meanwhile, Europe is being scolded because none of us has good measures up it seems. Asia is doing a MUCH better job. Yes, they're violiting privacy rights in order to do so e.g. in Taiwan or Korea, but it helps a lot tracing down clusters and the quarantine is much stricter than here as well.
Even Australia and New Zealand are doing a far better job. Yes, those are islands, but still ... :/
Now, there are news about the vaccine and all, but I think it's too early to get all hyped up.
