I cannot even imagine what you must be going through right now. That sounds like an absolute nightmare that nobody has a handle on. The more I continued to read this post, the more my jaw dropped. The next plan was always worse than the one prior.

It's insane. I think we're also the only region / country where FFP2 masks are mandatory.
We're not allowed to wear surgical masks....

Did I read right that not even all people have to wear them either? That's absolutely insanity! You can't require the specific masks like that, but also not require that everyone wears them. The numbers will never go down!

Germany sounds like a shit show right now. I am so thankful it isn't like that here. Are the airports shut down there or are they allowing travel in and out?

Yes, that's correct. Customers have to wear them, but hairdressers, or people working in shops, supermarkets etc. can wear normals masks. Well, obviously, because you're not supposed to wear a FFP2 masks for longer than 1-2 hours. It's not good.

Travelling is not forbidden, just very, very difficult with negative tests and quarantines etc.
If you don't live on an island, it's difficult to restrict such things completely - although we did last year around that time .... for a short while.
I mean within Germany you can't really travel anyway. Hotels etc. are all closed. Camping is forbidden. Still I saw so many cars the last few days with number plates from far away. No idea how they managed. But then I read in the newspaper a few days later that people illegally rented out houses for vacation etc.
