I would be frustrated about the public transportation and travelers. Germany seems like it has a major COVID problem right now & needs better enforcement of the basic rules (such as wearing the appropriate mask) instead of trying to make weird holidays and shutting things down just to reopen them. Maybe if they started with enforcing the basic little things, Germany might be in a better spot?

These photographs are lovely. I would have loved to sit right there and have those views. What kind of troubles do you have finding hiking shoes? I find that either they're too heavy or not comfortable enough. Most hikes this summer I think I might just use trail running shoes like I used to. I have one decent hiking boot for my bad ankles, but sometimes they're too much. Maybe I'm too picky. :P

Do you hike in jeans or is that a stretchable fabric? The photograph makes them look like dark gray skinny jeans.

Actually I think we're much stricter than most other countries ( ... )

That's frustrating. I can understand that they cannot patrol everyone, but that's kind of garbage for that one person that was traveling.

I'm envious of you. I cannot hike in jeans very well, which is sad because I much prefer jeans to hiking pants. Hiking pants have a weird feel to them. I usually choose yoga pants because of this. Maybe I just need to invest in a better pair.

That does sound awful. I wish I had advice on the shoe front, but you're right. The styles are too similar when it comes to hiking. That's kind of why I prefer the comfort of trail running shoes. I wonder if you could find a waterproof trail running shoe...

Really? I somehow absolutely love hiking in skinny jeans, no idea why. Only when it starts raining and the jeans gets wet, those are the worst to wear. ;)

Exactly, but I really need some proper shoes that go above the ankle at some point ....
Some day I'll get those ... even if it means I can only wear them for one hike at a time, taping my ankles and then resting for a while until the wounds heal up. T_T ........

Really? I somehow end up there very often as I go hiking a lot in the region and if it's not yet dark, I like to chill a bit at Tegernsee on my way back from a long hike. It is a beautiful region and during the week not so many people there.

Hab echt Respekt vor Leuten, die 8-10 h Touren machen in richtig alpinem Gelände. ^^;
