oh that's cool. Isn't that like the ninth month of the Islamic calendar or something...like a whole helping people in crisis based month or something? I had a friend who celebrated the same thing. I'm not sure....what is it EXACTLY?

But you're right. It is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calender... and well you're supposed to fast for the entire month, and that's one of the five pillars of Islam.

*ugh* YOU SHUT UP!! LMAO I have a rather ecclectic group of friends :) Anyways, I just didn't know exactly what it was though so yea....but that's cool. Did you fast for the whole month? And was it a partial fast or a FULL fast? My dad did that once and I thought he was gonna die lol....like really but he lost like 50 pounds in that month. He did look good though but the whole point of the fast was cause we were at this crazy ass church and the "pastor made" the congregation go on this fast lest they be accused of being "disobedient" and that we'd be subject to God's wrath....blah. So it was more of a cult than a church and it just took us a while to figure out that that was not somewhere we needed to be lol.
