So school totally kicked my ass this last semester. I had to quit my job just so I'd have enough time for schoolwork. Well, ok, so the was spent on schoolwork and the nephew, because now that my dad's work schedule got shifted, I'm the one in charge of the little rugrat, which meant rearranging my entire schedule. And I foresee much of the same come January, because my sister just quit her job, and the one she has lined up will require her to do two weeks of 12hrs/7days, and then get a full 7 days off. Which will also leave me in charge of the kid. Eh, we'll see how that goes.
My professors for this last semester are starting to annoy me though. I've only gotten my finals for two classes graded so I inly have the grades for those two, which means I'm I have to take some guesses on the rest. At least my English prof. emailed me the final grade before he posted it online.
On more unpleasant news. My lack of a good job with good benefits has led to me having no, or subpar, dental insurance for the last 6 years, which has lead to some not good things. Namely a weakened tooth that now tooth that had a part of it chipped off after an unfortunate incident. Anyway, I finally managed to find a good policy that will pay for a good chunk of my needs, but that still leaves me with needing some 5k to pay for the rest. And I'm now unemployed so its not like I can set up a payment plan of some sorts all on my own. I know I'm gonna end up having to ask my parents for this cash but I really, really don't want to, so i'm looking into alternatives now. Again, we'll see how that goes.
In better news, the family and I leave for Mexico next week. Sometime. Maybe Monday, maybe Tuesday, maybe well, you get the picture. I'm conflicted on this. Its the first time I go to Mexico for longer than two days in five years, so YAY! But I also just wanted to stay home and be a bum for the first time in five years. No work, no school. Just stay home. Catch up on fic. Catch up on anime and manga. Maybe do some actual book reading, and sleep. A lot. So, idk. But again, its Mexico. Which means warmth, and lack of snow.
I think this is the first year I don't need/want to buy anything electronic for Christmas. It's an odd feeling.
