yes, another poll. humor me?
Out of all the communities I've created or helped with, choco_cherries has by far been the most successful. Not because we have the most members or post (far from it) but because we've been blessed with great writers and lots of enthusiasm from everybody. Considering the fact that this is a writing community dedicated to crossovers, I like to think we do pretty good for ourselves. Not all the rounds are successful but that's never been something I've really cared about. (My constant reminding is more about my greed for crossover fic than actual 'entries' lol).
From the start, the point of the community was to encourage creativity within writers and to spread the crossover love so that there'd be more fic out there for us to enjoy. Judging by the 115+ fics that have been written for the community, I think we've done pretty good for ourselves. What started out as a simple fic exchange turned into weekly prompts, yet another fic exchange, and even a sister community (choco_truffles). Plus, I know I've made a bunch of great friends in the process and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Because of this, and the fact that I'm constantly having people tell me how much they love participating in the community, I've been thinking about giving choco_cherries another sibling, except this time it'd be similar challenged-based one. So maybe it'd be more like a fraternal twin rather than a big brother with whom you only share DNA with.
I've been toying with several different ideas and I'd really like to get you guy's feedback. While I would LOVE to do another community, there's no point in doing it if you guys aren't going to follow me over there. That would just be lonely!
