Last week we noticed a teeny tiny dog roaming the neighborhood and was sometimes seen on one person's porch in a makeshift bed and food and water dishes. Yeah, I was pretty frustrated when I got her message. It makes more sense after talking to the shelter, though. Originally, she said she'd already been to the shelter, left her information, and was first in line to adopt her if no owner turned up. The shelter said they do not do lists and they had not seen or heard about the dog until she was dropped off.

I think it was not a neighborhood stray. I think my neighbor got her somewhere intending to keep her outside and loose, but got scared when too many neighbors started questioning it.
