It’s three years later and she’s sitting at the corner table at a little Italian coffee shop over in Manhattan when he sees her next. She’s wearing jeans and no make up and her hair is pulled back in a pony tail, but the way she bends gracefully over the book she’s reading and bites her lip in concentration (like she’s plotting someone’s social destruction, he thinks amused) is still all Blair Waldorf. It makes for an entrancing picture (she makes an entrancing picture) and so he’s satisfied to just watch for awhile.
But then he lets his eyes wander over her soft curves and her smooth skin and something from long ago pulls at his heart. He’s no longer content at being only another passer by.
So he slips quietly into the adjacent chair and greets her the way he always greets her, “Hello beautiful.”

When she was two, a boy at the playground pushed her - and everyone laughed while she cried on the sand with her bleeding knee. No one helped her get up; no one helped her wipe the blood.
When she was four, a girl at the nursery said she was ugly - and the others snickered while she pressed her crayons a little harder over the colouring page. All the crayons were broken when she took then home and her mother smacked her for being “an ungrateful little child!”
When she was six, the children at school called her a whore (like the ones your father brings home every other night) - and the next day she dropped twenty dead cockroaches into the food trays at the cafeteria. It was so much fun to watch the kids scream and run.
You see, little Georgina Sparks had learnt her lesson - and now it was time to teach the others.
