Because i'm sure i will forget some details in the future if I don't repo, and i want to keep my memories alive, so... i decided to write a repo.
I didn't stand at the best position and stuffs, but i was glad being there at the airport, red carpet and international gala premiere.
25th July Sakurai Sho's arrival:
I had something on in the afternoon, so by the time i reached it was pretty late.
I even cabbed down with money from my mum. My parents are so nice. *touched*
Okay, anyway the plane was supposed to land at 1715, but it landed at 1648 or 1638. That was the reason why i cabbed down.
Luckily, i still had to wait for an hour after i reached before he actually came out...
While waiting, the Toho staff was filming us and asked us to wave our uchiwa/banners and scream.
I'm guessing this will be in the DVD.
Here's photos of the crowd.
from afar, you can see this really luxurious limo.
Sho boarded this after he came out. What was rather funny was when we were waiting, this limo was parked there. Then when someone realised, everyone looked at that direction and went WOW~ and everyone started crazily snapping photos of the limo. And i'm one of them.
Me and my friends were saying "wow a limo?! that's really so nazodi." hehe.
Anyway so when Sho finally came out, all i saw were a few seconds of him. However HE WAS REALLY CLOSE.
Before he came to our area, he took a photo with a banner with Singapore merlion done by a fan. If i'm not wrong, the staff asked him to take a photo with it. Sho was also rather surprised upon seeing it. Then he walked to our area, I didn't take any photos because i thought i would not be able to take a good shot so i might as well just use my eyes and look at him carefully. This is actually my 4th time seeing him, but my 2nd time seeing him up close. His skin is very fair, and in a really good condition. I really wished my skin could be like his. And he just looks so... good. I don't know what good words to describe, he's just really good looking, like a prince. (: Though i realise he actually isn't very tall... And he looked exactly like on TV, i couldn't find much difference. Also I could sense that he tried to walk slowly and he waved at everyone as he walked down the path. Some fans ran to the limo as he boarded it, he even wind down the window to wave at the fans. I didn't run to the limo, but that's what i heard. I think along the path he walked, he was interviewed at some point. After the limo left, they interviewed the fans too. So Singaporeans, do save money to buy DVD as your faces might be in it. hehe.
27th International Gala Premiere:
1) Red Carpet
I was like so late when i reached. I mean technically I wasn't late, i reached at 4pm+, but people started queuing for this since noon for this red carpet which is slated to start at 5.30pm. So i wasn't in a very good position... oh well.
The crowd, tbh, i thought this is pretty insane. Since none of our local media bothered to promote anything about Japan/Nazodi/Arashi, yet look at this huge turnout. And for this red carpet event, it was merely released on Golden Village's facebook, not like our tv or newspaper bothered to even inform us about this. Oh well. Anyway, from Japanese newspapers, it is said that there were 2000 fans here! I'm surprised at the popularity of Arashi... (i'm glad to see so many people though) Even though most of the fans were from Singapore, i think there were China, Japan and other Southeast Asian countries fans.
We waited really long... They were playing Nazodi's ost as we waited. Initially me and my friends were quite near then they started pushing us really behind. ): saying it's for the safety of the celebrities. I understand but I would really appreciate it if they placed the barricades at the correct position that they considered safe rather than asking us to move back out of a sudden. Then there were staff interviewing/filming fans. There was also someone from Mezamashi TV who was there to carry out coverage. Because the announcer from Mezamashi TV was interviewing the people infront of me at one moment, I could hear a bit of what it was about. The announcer asked the question in Japanese, before the translator could even translate, the fan already answered. The announcer asked "You are a Japanese?" in Japanese of course. The fan was a Singaporean, and the announcer was pretty surprised at the fact that she understood Japanese... Then she asked her who is her favourite in Arashi and she answered... I shall leave that to your imagination or maybe it would be aired on Mezamashi TV. hehe. So i think it was near 5.45-6pm, the music played was changed to Meikyuu love song and automatically, everyone started singing along. It sounded amazing. I could see that the staff there were really surprised at this.
After a while, the emcee started speaking and hype up the atmosphere. The mc spoke in both English and Chinese, he continued in English solely later on though. Anyway he later shared on his facebook something along the lines of "These fans are so obedient and orderly, and they react to what I said." It was in Chinese language though. Anyhow, shortly, they arrived... and IT WAS MADNESS! I was totally squashed and i couldn't really catch a proper glimpse of them. But i could still see Sho was good looking as ever, Keiko was gorgeous! They waved as they walked and they took a photo after they walked a few steps. lol. I could see Sho turning to the side/back as he walked. Oh ya, we had a sing along to Meikyuu when they were there. It was so cool, we sang it naturally. (: Today's mezamashi TV didn't show that, so i hope there would be longer news clips soon. So when they finally reached the stage, the mc had them introducing themselves. Kippei's was really funny, he merely went "Hi~Hello~" and he returned the mic to the mc. Keiko did her greetings in English, it was quite good. Then before Sho spoke, the mc teased us with something "and now, just to hear his voice!" and everyone screamed. The mc was good. Sho did the greetings in English and we all screamed! It was understandable, his accent wasn't that bad. After the introductions, 3 children wearing Singapore's ethnic costumes presented our national flowers (orchids) to them. Sho actually kinda knelt down to receive the flowers from the kid!!! He looks so fatherly. Then when they were to take photos with the children, i think it was probably hard to communicate and the kid probably stood at the wrong position, so Sho actually kinda carried the kid so that he stood at the correct position. I totally screamed when i saw him carrying the kid. After that, the cast were supposed to leave, but Sho grabbed the mic and said something along the lines of "See you in the theatre, see you later!" aww, so sweet of him.
2) Gala Premiere
After that i rushed to collect my tickets, here's how it looked like:
it looks really nice. (:
There are a few televisions outside the theatre showing the trailer:
and here's the view from my seat. I was on the 2nd floor... All the tickets won through giveaway were on 2nd floor. People on first floor hold tickets given by Japanese companies i think.
I was at the 2nd row from the front. So being on the 2nd floor, i guess this seat is considered okay.
The movie was pretty funny and the audience had quite a lot of reactions to certain scene, especially the last one. Though i seriously feel there aren't that many scenes in Singapore...Well, still glad they came. By the way, I shan't spoil you guys, do catch it in the cinemas if you can! hehe. By the way, I believe everyone saw photos of them in the titanic pose? That scene was very well received by the audience.
After the movie ended, it's time for the cast to come on stage and do greetings! (:
I believe most of you guys have watched the video of the entire talk as so many videos are floating on the internet, so i won't talk about everything, just parts that I thought worth mentioning.
So of course, alot of screams and applause when the cast and director went on stage. Sho took Keiko's hand as she went up the stage. Aww so gentleman. They first did the greetings! Only Keiko and Sho did it in English, but Keiko switched to Japanese in the middle of it. Sho's greetings was awesome, especially for Singaporeans fans because he spoke Singlish!!! I was really surprised that he added Singlish, it was so unexpected, I thought it was already good enough that he used English but Singlish!!! It made the whole theatre roared.
"Alamak, under renovation lah!... Must recommend to your friends hor?"
I could listen to his Singlish forever! It was definitely well received by everyone there. And could see that after saying alamak, he kinda had a "did i used it correctly" look on his face. So when we all clapped and screamed, he looked really satisfied with himself. hehe. I wonder who taught him Singlish. He said thank you in the Malay language too! Kippei's greeting was fun, we had this interactive "hai hai hai" thingy. He went "i say hai", and we all "hai" back. He did the action too! =D Then there was a part when Keiko was asked what was her impression of Singapore? It was all okay till she mentioned about our fashion. She said if there are future episodes of Nazodi, Ojousama's costumes could probably incorporate Singapore female's fashion. Upon hearing this, everyone went ehhhhhh. (because we are famous for having really bad fashion...) Upon hearing our reaction, Keiko went "Oshare desu yo, minna san!" I thought it was kinda awkward there...
During Sho's turn, while he was still thinking of what to answer for the impression question, he went "hmm" and we all went "oh~". He started saying "I have a lot but..." People began to shout "food, chicken rice!" then he mentioned chicken rice. and everyone screamed, and he went "sonna ni?" He didn't knew why were we so high about the chicken rice topic. He said how he ate it at some food court at Little India, he sat with 2-3 Singaporeans girls, and they didn't realised it was him at all. Everyone went ehhhhh. He replied with a "arigatou gozaimasu." lol. He added it was very delicious and that he ate it when he was back in Japan but it couldn't be compared to what he ate in Singapore. He then continued he has yet to eat it this time round and then he looked at his watch before saying "i would like to eat it!" The mc commented that anyone of us who sees him at a hawker centre should act that we don't know him. hehe. There was another question, the mc asked Sho if he had thought that the movie would be able to come Singapore and that he would come here for the premiere. Probably the question was too long or what, I think Sho didn't really understand it since it was in English. He paused for quite a while, then everyone went ganbatte, and he replied "ganbaru?" I guess he was like "i am supposed to ganbaru?" Anyhow he asked the translator to translate the question. And after the translator translated it, he went "ah~" and everyone laughed.
Another interesting part was the question asked to Keiko regarding which scene does she think the audience like the best? Keiko threw back the question at us, and everyone screamed titanic! And she said she like it too, and that it was fun. Kippei added if this pose would become the trend in Singapore. Keiko said that couples who watched it today could try doing it. Sho added it would not be titanic anymore, it would be nazotoki style. hehe. The mc commented that next time we need to do that whenever we board a boat and asked Keiko if she expected the audience would like the scene so much. Keiko said well, everyone liked it, and that female fans could imagine her as themselves. Then our cheeky Sho said male fans could imagine him as themselves too, and that's also not a bad idea! Everyone cheered.
I shall skip other questions, though actually the entire talk was really interesting. There was a moment Sho was clapping but he clapped in a way i found rather cute, his mic is still on his hand, so he basically just uses his free hand to so called hit on the other hand holding the mic. hehe. There is once where I think Sho deliberately spoke in parts and gestured the translator to translate first. Somehow I think the translator was very nervous, probably stressed from the fact that most of us understood Japanese (as most of us reacted after listening to what they said in Japanese, not waiting for the translation). During the part where they were supposed to say their final messages, the mc initially only asked Sho, then he said "wouldn't it be better if all of us spoke?" and then he asked to director to start first. I thought that was really nice(?) of him.
At the very end, the cast were supposed to leave after the photo taking, but I noticed that Sho kinda remained on stage. He actually went to grab the mic from the mc just to say to us "Thank you very much! I hope to see you soon!" in English. That was really so nice of him. T.T Anyway, he was quite surprised to see that the 2nd floor also had audience when he walked up the stage. He did specifically thanked people who sat on the 2nd floor, those at the back and those in front. He also looked up now and then and waved at the people in 2nd floor, I am so happy he acknowledges us. (poor us who were seated at the 2nd floor)
additional:
we sang birthday song for keiko
when taking group photo, sho was back facing, but there's a moment where he turned and gestured to us to wave and give peace signs.
Here's a photo from Golden Village! Guess where i was seated at! hehe.
Anyway that's all, hopes Sho can bring along the other members next time round! ^^
I have seen him for 5 times! (kinda amazing now that i think of it, lol) Wonder when will be my 6th time? (:
