Есть у нас набор карточек с цифрами; наверно уже года 3 мы его то достаём, то забрасываем. Так вот, на днях Дэни в очередной раз с ним игрался и вдруг с радостью сообщает, "Mom, this is from PBSkids.org!"

Как работает интернет он, конечно, не знает, но в конце многих мультиков предлагают сочинить историю и т.д. на PBSkids.org :)

U nas Yashka kak raz PBSkids.org znaet s interneta, a ne iz multikov :) Tam na ih website kstati klassnie educational games, ochen sovetuyu kogda budete gotovy Danny poznakomit s internetom.

We are not really opposed to him using the internet; he just has very little aptitude for interactive games at this point (i am actually relieved ) :) He doesn't get how to use the mouse, etc.

Yasha picked it up on his own and it's a skill he'll need to use soon enough. I saw our school district's Kindergarten curriculum, they have IT benchmarks! :)
I did make a note of the first time when he taught us something on the computer: 3 years, 3 months :) However we do try to limit his screen time (TV and computer) overall.

I am not opposed to it in general; I am sure he'll pick it up eventually. But he is already perfectly content staring at the screen (watching movies, any movies, any language) for hours if we let him; I am a little afraid of what might happen when he learns the interactive part.
