I am booking our next trip to San Jose for $40 per person each way.

Sorry. They are priced by miles, i.e. $40 is for flights shorter than 450 miles.

$120 would be great one way cross-country, but we need them for earlier in August.

I just paid close to a thousand bucks for a cross-country roundtrip, this is a great deal if you can take advantage of it.

Hmm maybe I should plan a trip to the East Coast. Then again Southwest cross-country flights are very tedious and probably not direct.

I exchanged our tickets to LA. Now we all have credit of $40 something dollars per person. Hopefully we will get to use this credit.

it definitely works if you search after aug 23rd. the website was very slow for me though.

Yeah, slow and I keep getting errors. I will try again tonight. $283 for SNA->CMH through Chicago isn't bad at all compared to $400, especially times three. I have to think if me staying here at home for 4 extra days is worth the savings. I wanted to fly out red eye on Friday 19th out of LAX, direct flight. Is $300+ in savings worth it? Have to think some more. I wish I had bags to check in!

Not worth it my opinion
