I was a little shocked by Gaston wanting kids but after thinking about it, it makes sense. I mean, how better to keep the Horse at bay than by presenting it with something so innocent? It seemed to work with the puppies.

I find it a little obnoxious that no one beside Will and Gaston seem to talk about it rationally at all. I mean, there's the obvious example of Pete and Striker and then there's Otter and Liam...when Otter mentioned it, Liam freaked out XD

Not having to do with kids: the rest of the cabal doesn't get the love they deserve. Liam and Otter are so cute, despite Liam's tendency to gossip, but even that's well-developed with his whole regretting it and all. I wonder about the history of these two (will it be developed more in the next two books?) I like Julio, too. I feel so sorry for him, having to be stuck with Davey. Heh. And, I'm sorry the Bard and Dickey are so adorable. Why are they forgotten?!

OK. I'm done with off-topic ranting now. Sorry 'bout that.

Ok, but that reference, as to why the Bard is the Bard kind of made my life. Because I'm a nerd like that.

I was kind of a Dicky/Tom shipper too...but Tom kind of turned out to be a bastard...and, well, it wasn't unexpected. *shrug* And Dickey/the Bard is just too cute! *is killed for calling them cute*

Omg sooooooo funny! Though I have to wonder what would happen if Will actually managed it after dagger-sex...cause it'd be different for her XD I could totally see her like cussing him out for deceiving her or something...and Gaston coming to the rescue...*dies laughing*

I totally loved that scene I was like

"HAY DAGGER MAK GUD DICKS!"

Also I think it was implied but. Pete/Striker/Sarah threesome Y/N/Rum?

BTW I haven't reached that part if it was at all mentioned

So neither of you have read Treasure yet? Because I don't want to ruin it for you, but it sounds like you're missing that vital information based on some of your comments. ^_^

I haven't yet...I'm about halfway through Matelots >.< If I'm really lucky, I'll get through the rest of it and Treasure before going off to school...

Thank you ^^

I'm very excited for it. Almost everyone I've talked to says Treasure's the best so far. I'll probably end up reading it on the plane on the way up to school...haha

I wasn't surprised Gaston wanted kids - it just suits him (in my opinion anyway). He can be loving and caring despite his madness which he's aware of. And he didn't experience much love in his life so I think he could do everything to do right by his own children (if he has his own, I remember he mentioned in Matelots he didn't want to pass his madness to next generation and I haven't read Treasure yet).
A child is a big change in one's life so I can totally understand why Will isn't all crazy about this idea (sort of like me;)) but I suspect he could accept everything for Gaston's sake.
Pete and Striker, well... they should have talked in the first place before they made any decision (or rather before Striker did). But they were just being men - they don't talk, they act;PP I mean no offense of course.:)
