Wherein we present a fanfic

Nov 15, 2008 23:17

Yes, I have finally finished a fanfic. I wanted to make it longer but I finally got around to rereading it today and realized that I wasn't going to get anywhere else on it and where I was made a perfectly find ending. It's set between Matelots and Treasure. Enjoy

Thank you. I was going for as close to the original voice as I could get. I'd like to write more if I have the time and the inspiration...heh

Ooh, Emer, I like what you wrote and want you to write more, too. I don't normally like fanfics, but I liked yours! :D I agree you did a good job of keeping with the original tone. If you're going to stop it there, you need a Gods line at the end, though, LOL. I asked the Gods why they made goats so damn obstinate, or something. ;) Or I wondered if the Gods would think it a sin against man if I tried to manipulate one of the goats into biting Striker's ass. *runs* ^_^

Thank you :) I'm glad you'd liked it. I did forget about the Gods line at the end...*scuttles back to fix it*

Oh, that was fun! Brilliant setting it during the missing parts of the canon. I was brought right back to the feel of those scenes in the books. It was a lovely time and seeing a bit more of it is so welcome (particularly as the days darken so early and winter approaches--well, such as winter is down here in smokey SoCal with our strange 90-degree days!).

Thanks for writing and posting that! ^____^

You're very welcome. I'm glad you liked it ^^

And don't you be complaining about darkness in SoCal. I'm in Alaska, where it gets dark at 3 in the afternoon. Heh.

Oh, you did a wonderful job with this. I am so glad that W.A. Hoffman was open to folks writing fanfic. We were all well rewarded with your choice of topic, characterizations, and tone. Nice job! I hope you are willing to write more because this filled me with glee.
