I wrote a comic on the subject of our school's mentality towards fights, actually. I remembered that, just a few days/weeks after 9/11, there was a fight that happened on the second floor of MHS; I was on the third floor, and the little half-wall (you know, where you can look over and down at the second floor) was lined with people cheering two people on as they tried to beat each other up.
So I did a comic about someone at MHS talking into a camera about the importance of unity and patriotism in the face of this national crisis, because there's nothing more important than - but then someone yelled that people were having a fight, and he stopped the interview short to run over to watch and cheer.
I never watched. I always walked on to class and felt sick to my stomach.
