With all due respect, I find it amusing that some countries seem to take Eurovision seriously; like itS a matter of national pride. It's all a big of a laugh and a joke isn't it?

yeah and those countries are the ones that usually win. it might be cool if one year everyone took it seriously, although they would have to sort the voting out a bit because it seems like peeople just vote for the country where they want to go on holiday next, and not for the actual song

You know I never thought it would be difficult to understand lyrics sung in English but surely I was proven wrong. Those Russian boys just sounded like they were singing gibberish.

I always sit and score this myself [because I'm weird] and for Russia I had written 'sleepy' because to be honest, I was lost the second they started singing.

I liked Iceland (chirpy cheesy dance, ftw) and Bosnia + Herzegovina (apples, washing, wedding dresses... who needed a song?). Political voting = fail.

Haha, this has always been a joke. ;) It's like a collection of the most horrible singers found in Europe. It also has cult status for that very reason, which it why it MUST be watched.
