“Why should I stay?” There is a slight hint of anger in Jacks voice, but also more emotion than he ever thought he could feel.

“For you! You have someone; I have lost everything. I killed my own grandson and lost my daughter in the process.” *oh, God I killed Stephen, maybe I am a monster *

“You know why I did it, Gwen? It was because I ( Read more... )

Yes, I think a lot of us had choice reply to Gwen's "for me" comment. Jack could very well have been thinking just this. Nicely written!

great job. still can't believe that would be that insensitive to ask jack to stay for her(ianto is barely in his grave) in front of rhys.

Ouch! Yes, I think Gwen really needed to have things spelt out for her. Wish it had gone this way. Gwen gets to keep everything, all the time, but thankfully this time she didn't get to keep Jack.

"...I can feel his breath slow and then stop..." I spent half of the morning sobbing over a piece by TeachWriteSlash, and when I'm finally ready to read again, you stab me in the heart with this line. Nine little words that finally defeated Jack Harkness. Who was it that said the pen is mightier than the sword? They knew who they writing about.

*hand you a heart repair kit, and a big box of tissues* Thanks for reading. Yep it still hurts to read any stories based around that series! This was my chance to yell.

beautiful, so much said in so few words especially the bit about feeling Ianto's breath slow. Even now, I still cant think about that serious, especially that scene on the hilltop and Jack's speech where Gwen said 'its not your fault, Jack' and he said 'but it is; Suzie, Owen, Tosh, Ianto Stephen, they all died becuase of me' okay, that's slightly worrying that I can remember that. anyway, ,completely agree with you; whilst I thought that scene was actually well done by all the actors, i hated the fact that ianto died (dont we all? and they broke jack) i know rtd said you cant have a story that big and have the protagonists come out of it unscathed and im like well yeah, but cant you just have the angsty about stephen and keep ianto? or, jig it about a bit and have jack have to kill Ianto's niece, could be interesting. but seriously, why? why? did they have to kill off ianto after just killing off tosh and owen hadnt they done enough *ends rant* sorry about that, i still tend to go off on one about c of e. very good:)

Thanks for reading. I have not re watched that series, or like to think to much about it as i tend to go into mad rants myself, i deny its existence. I no longer speak the name of the one who ruined Torchwood. This story was my first of many ranting sessions.
