On principal I despise the so called "Black movies" and the "hip-hop lifestyle" of modern black people. However I just watched "barbershop 2" and believe it or not it was a really good movie. It dealt with political corruption at the local level and its effects on neighborhood business. A great movie I would have never seen if I wasnt totally ( Read more... )

I never saw the second one. I went to see the first one with Emily and we were the only white people there. It was suprisingly enjoyable. Not because it has black people in it... but just because...

i kinda like barber shop too. i saw the second one but not the first. your right about all these "black movies" alot of them seem a bit sterio typical. and why do they make us black sisters seem so mouthy and coy? lol! i guess stereo types starts for a reason (j/k)
anyway, i agree. the movie was good. i'm not a big fan of some of the acting. :-)

btw, i just read in your profile that you're a sax player. that's awsome (me too!!)
