                                                    SALAMANDER, MY PET ROCK

I was looking for rocks in my back alley one day

And there she was.

Salamander.

Sally for short.

We did everything together.

We laughed-- or rather, I laughed

I took her all over

To school,

To Hale Bakery,

To Rainbow.

Till one day,

She vanished.

Maybe I grew up,

Maybe
