you're so going to get a 5 on the AP English test- your ability to rant without being whiny. i'm so envious!

and yes, i've been hearing that stuff too. '09 ppl are such cheaters! but apparently, juniors have been selling their AP Bio tests to the sophomores... O_O

yes, integrity has been corrupted, but what about mission? mission has 50 times as much cheating going on at irvington. ugh it all stems from irvington being the most corrupt school in existence. ugh don't let me start ranting again T_T

Wait. But if Mission has 50x as much cheating, then isn't Mission the most corrupt school? Or is that just a typo there?

its not the students' fault if they become corrupt-it's so hard to deal with the sadistic teachers.

i guess you could call Mission students more corrupt, but i was mainly referring to the administration rather than the students

This is Melly. Aye aye! We are in harmonious accord. Those kids, aside from being incredibly sophomoric and generally STUPID in cheating, also show how twisted our academic culture is now. Kids are being pressured to perform on tests and conform to standards to the point where they don't see anything else anymore. I mean, even for us, are we really viewing high school as a learning experience? Everyone just thinks of it as a onerous, 4-yr entrance exam to college. We are under so much pressure that the temptation to cheat becomes steadily stronger with each passing Scantron test...

*sigh* It makes me sad.

...with each passing Scantron test

That is lovely phrasing. :)

It's funny because I was also pondering the point of high school just a few weeks ago.

aww. how sad. Dude, I stole my suitemate's bio book. it's the same one you used, except it's the sevent edition. I missed using it, so i petitioned to take the class that uses the book. now i'm scared. i'm going to be competing with all the smart med students.

Ouran is spiffy soup for the soul. Y Y Y Y

I agree 200% on the rant, because I can relate! I was among the many who failed lotsa tests but never stopped my hard work, effort, etc. & then da da da da! gradually improved & yayness. too bad the students this year take the easy and wrong route = failures. x__x
