My Hands!

Okay, 30 minutes + rowing machine + sweaty hands = blisters = OWIE.
Any suggestions as to what to do? HELP!

Dude, nice job (well nice job for rowing that long)! I would say try to not use your hands ;)Maybe one of the crew people would be able to help (Khara, Brian, Meg, Theresa, etc)...

When I did dragon boats (canoeing) in high school we used mole skin to make the blisters feel better.
Also gloves are great at preventing the evil blisters.

I would say band-aids for right now.. try not to grip so hard when you are using the erg (hehe, fancy name and i still remember it!!) and just try to use it every day so you can start building up calususs (ok, really bad spelling on that one!!)

This won't help now, but I've heard that if you clap your hands hard, it helps redisperse everything in your hands and it'll prevent blisters from forming. It sounds weird, I know, but I think it's helped me before.
