I got a new short sleeved dress(?) shirt (Well, more casual really. Got a shoulder pocket for a doobie and isn't exactly something you'd wear to the office, but I digress.) that I'm planning on wearing in Ecuador. There's an universal rule: if you are a tourist (in the sense of 'just visiting the country, not the annoying tourist sense) you can wear ANYTHING. I live in an area of the city surrounded by hotels and nobody bats an eyelash over a shirt. I'm pretty sure things in Ecuador are not that different. (on the OTHER HAND, never compare ecuatorians peruvians or chilean-s (?) with each other. That will offend them)
