why should I, a non smoker, have to reek of smoke when I leave a bar, or even have people smoking around me or near me @ a diner as im trying to eat dinner? Im sure its not going to kill anyone to go outside for 3 mins to smoke, better yet, maybe this ban will help people stop smoking for the better :)

That's a valid point, but it's also a smoker's right, just as it is a non smokers right. The smoking ban takes away our rights. I think they should just make certain places smoking / non smoking. It's a choice either way. Smokers can not smoke in non-smoking places, and non smokers can either enter a smoking establishment, or choose another place to go.

Makes sense, right?

That's exactly why it SHOULDN'T be up to the government at all. When it comes to smoking it's up to an individual or, in this case, a restaurant or bar. But there's never a reason to take it so far as to putting it in Congress. It makes no sense. Just one more way for them to take control of us.
