you could just as easily said "no sorry" and kept walking. the fact that you even tried to do something for someone who asked you (even indirectly - but seriously those aluminum cans add up) is a positive force that the world needs more of ( ... )

Addie you are a callous bitch...ok so your not. That was an indirectly nice thing to do. I would have just said no and kept walking, or I would have handed him a granola bar. Haha I used to do that. I would walk around town with granola bars in my bag and give them to bums. Suprisingly enough they really hate that which is just more proof that most of them just want your change for drugs and alcohol. None the less I am proud of you for being so selfless and not keeping that 5 cent can for yourself.
