wow honey, thankyou muchly. You are SO spot on for sure. so how about this....what does this bit really mean (here are a few versions) in terms of not becoming a doormat and our conduct with those who hurt us, how is it saying we should act and how do we protect our hearts in light of what it seems to be implying about unconditional trust and belief for example:

NIV
7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Message:

[Love] Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

AMP
7Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening].

NLT
7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

Lulu shared this post with me. How very true, and I have always felt that way, but never quite read it in words this way. Love is an action! Not a feeling!!! Right on!
