Since your election in 2001 I have been impressed with the work that you have done both for your Enfield Southgate constituency, of which I am a member, and in parliament. I'd be interested to hear whether you get a response from him and, if so, what he says.
(The point about the idea that extending rights to one group of people can somehow be seen as reducing the rights of another group is particularly well made. That's an argument that has always made me want to scream!).
