I can't read the other stickers so I'm not sure what's so idiotic apart from the fact that they're voting for McCain.

You should be able to zoom in to read the other stickers. Just in case you can't...

The sticker on the left reads: The only difference between Osama and Obama is BS. It also features a photo of Osama Bin Laden and Obama.

The sticker on the right reads: My dog is smarter than a Democrat

Ew.

Alec is grading papers right now and just got one about, essentially, "Waah! Why is my generation so liberal!" He said that one point his student neglected to mention in her discussion of liberal media bias is that some people may have thought through their positions and decided to become Democrats. She's a winner.

Sounds like she also forgot to mention that many would argue that there really isn't a liberal media bias since most of the media outlets are owned or controlled by conservative interests or influenced by conservative advertisers.

ok. just read your reply describing the other stickers.

yeah- the Obama/Osama one is stupid. i think the dog/democrat one is funny though. i'm sure there's an equally funny one for dog/republican.

i'll be glad when the election is over. i think.

It's the combination of the stickers that is just so mind boggling to me. I'm an independent and can tell you that both Democrats and Republicans are full of shit and piss me off on a regular basis.

However, it does seem that for the most part Democrats have put more thought into the decision of who they will vote for and why. Most Dems I talk to tell me that they support Obama because he represents a paradigm change and that is something this country desperately needs right now. Most of the Republicans I talk to don't seem to have the ability to separate fact from fiction or participate in any sort of informed and rational political discussion.

I think there is no decision to make - two choices? This place is a duoply - and really, in many states/localities, it is a one party system. Hell, the Soviets let people vote - but only for the party candidate.
