Back from Vacation
Went to Guilin with my parents. The scenary there is very typical of the ideal of Chinese poetry.
They say Guilin was once the bottom of the ocean. So these lovely little hills should be what the bottom of ocean look like, I guess.
And these bamboos on the bank were planted at the suggestion of prime minister Chow En Lai, who thought bamboos on the bank would really make an impressive view. And he was right.
The handicrafts made by the local minorities. I bought a handmade silver bangle for my mom and a silver bracelet for myself. According to the local minorities silver helps cleanse poison in your body. I don't buy it completely but I don't mind something pretty on my wrist :)

I've also been reading The Midnighter's comics on Comixology, and other comics that have him, like The Authority. Ain't he a sexy crazy bastard...
Some say he's the version of batman who wears leather and kills. But he's really one and only. I love his cockiness and dirty mouth. And his love for his husband Apollo. Another DC character to fall for :)
