Oh, sweetie, I am so damned sorry. To lose two of your babies in such a short time ... god, that's awful. Poor Deanna. *massive hugs* (I used to keep rats, who live four or five years if you're lucky -- just long enough for them to really grab hold of your heart and it's just devastating when they go. The only downside of keeping rodents is their shortish lifespans.)
One thing. Please, please don't call yourself "selfish" when you were only concerned about the well-being of beautiful Tiantian, and worrying over your babies' health is anything BUT being "selfish." As you said, she was in the three percent, and no one could have seen that coming. But do not blame yourself. Please.
*HUGS* Thanks...I guess I was too obessed with this idea that neutered pets live longer. They do if they survive the surgery, and there are always the few who don't... I bought RodiCare Senior for Samantha and will take better care of her. And if I have another pet, I will not have surgery performed on it unless it's damn necessary. I will take all my pets to regular health examination so that if there are any signs of disease, they can get treatment immediately...
OH NOES! Gosh, I'm so, so sorry. You did NOTHING WRONG by trying to neuter TianTian. It was the right choice, all possible things considered! (Hell, I wish I'd gotten my hysterectomy sooner.) Any time you undergo anesthesia, no matter your species, there's a risk. That's just the way it is.
But it sucks regardless and I'm sorry it went that way! *big hugs*
Oh no, that is a double blow and very sad. I know rabbits and piggies don't have massively long lives but they still have time to make an impact on us. You did the right thing but that doesn't make it any less hard to say goodbye to your babies.

I'm so sorry for your losses, bb.
Rest in peace, Deanna.
Rest in peace, Tiantian.
