So, there's this guy who fell out of a window and he is po' and uninsured. To help with his medical bills, my friends are selling shirts that look nifty even if you don't know him for only $15. Here's the link: http://www.valerium.net/steve/

I really want one, but I'm trying to be a more responsible white devil evil American consumer. Hanes uses sweatshops. http://www.she-net.com/nosweat/hanessweatshops.htm

Heather left a comment on the t-shirt chick's journal about getting the shirts from American Apparel, which is sweatshop-free.

The whole thing is a hilarious idea! I love it.

You know, I totally would have gone thru american apparel if they didn't have idiotic sizing. They were the first people I checked but I cannot abide by LA pornstar sizing! If you're local and want one, I'll screen anything you bring me for $6.

I understand, and I'm conflicted too.

There're another issues with American Apparel- Dov Charney (owner) is a morally reprehensible and totally disgusting man. He's a pervert, he has sexual harasment cases out against him, he's a union buster, and honestly he has a really tiny spec on his garments and a lot of us fat american girls can't wear his shirt.

I know we all have to choose our battles, and I choose not to support Dov any more than I have to. I will look into getting some of my company's non-sweatshop produced shirts for the print-run though.
