What do you people think of Bush's desire to put a man on mars, or at least put another one on the moon? I want honest answers. Like, an actual opinion about the idea, not about the president.

I agree with that, but really, we're always going to have domestic troubles in one way or another; we'll always have something to complain about domestically. Really, though, as much as I disapprove of Bush's domestic policies, we're still the richest damn country in the world. We can afford this kind of thing.

I think that unless society is crumbling around us (which it is, arguably) there should always be time and money for manned exploration. Exploration, particularly space exploration, is the most noble and exciting feat in human history. I hate to invoke the supernatural, but it's a betrayal of our destiny to not explore where ever we are capable.
