One thing that annoyed me about last Halloween is everyone knew that he was going to die at the end of the show, and it was kind of too expected. Of course, he incorporated that fact into the show and made it interesting. The end of this show wasn't exactly portrayed as a death of himself, more of a death for his invented persona, mostly represented this year by a Jason Webley puppet. He had some awesome puppeteers join him this last show. They had much more of an integral part to the show than on May Day.
Personally, I'm hoping this signals the end of this periodic die-on-halloween, come-back-to-life-in-may crap. It was really goddamn cool when you didn't expect it to happen.
