If we go to the logical extension of the question, we might ask:
Why do I live my life in a culture that is so dysfunctional? Why do I life my life on a planet that will probably be destroyed by the inhabitants? Isn't life itself irrelevant?
I totally fucking relate.
But we have an urge to make things better so we put up with what we can, try to change what we can, and do as much that we enjoy as we can. We look for something desirable in every person we meet.
I know for sure I've been in the house too long.
I think, for that matter, that western civilization has been in the house too long.
Consider yourself hugged. If that doesn't suit you, consider yourself in some small way understood.
i'm such a comfortable baby. that said, i'm more than ready to shed my comforts and flee we can only put up with so much before we set the familiar to flames and start again.
thanks for your hug redbendad! i hug you back. in solidarity!
