I love this. Esp. the line "I rebound against/rebounds". This bit sounds so reverberant when spoken out loud. Pleasant sounds.

Thank you! I thought of it while walking through campus and then made a b-line to the library to capture it in writing somewhere. There was no Ms word or anything, and I didn't have a pen and paper, so I thought to write it on here.
