Can I get the whole series in Epub format at a reasonable cost. I can't easily read real books anymore due to MS making my horrible vision even worse. I would even share with my DH who started the series then quit because he does not wait well. I never started it because I don't wait well either. Any patience I have ever had my kids used up.
I have most of the books in dead tree format, I'll be quite honest, I found the pub format on a pirate site and hooked them all....I don't feel guilty doing that if I already bought them in dead tree form, so whether then can be gotten affordably in epub....I dunno...but I would not be opposed to sending you the files I have since I'm guessing by what you've written you probably have some of the books in dead tree yourself if your hubby had read some of them.
I often say it is a good thing my mother never named me patience or grace as i would have made a liar of her.
I would so appreciate that. Yes we do have some in dead tree format(I love that term and am going to use it muchly). I don't feel to bad about getting epub copies of books I have already paid for(in many cases more than once). My email is vtjentzen@gmail.com. If my Mom had named me either of those names I also would have proved her a liar VERY early on.
trying to send you the file now, it's 22 mb though, may have to try and figure out how to zip it and upload it to a free dl server somewhere like tusfiles and send you a link....
I started reading them in 2002 so I had a whole heap of the series to catch up on and did so. I did a full reread somewhere between Knife of Dreams and Gathering Storm (I think just before GS was due to be released), and then I kind of had to wing it for the last two because as much as I liked them it was just going to be so time consuming to reread them again and there were other new books to read as well.
I think I'll probably reread the whole series again at some point, or I might do what I do with Stephen King's Dark Tower and just pick them up now and then (I've read The Waste Land and Wizard and Glass more than the other five of DT).
Brandon Sanderson did an awesome job of finishing the series off, IMHO.
I'm one of those people who has very few ocd traits but the one I do have is having to read in a series in order, and generally wanting to re read the series if it's been a long time since the last book. since I read fast, it's usually not a big deal. When I heard robert jordan was ill, I kind of stopped reading and just stalled until I heard that sanderson had finished the series, then got my hands on all of them, I started this in january....and I agree, he did a really good job, I even tracked down his web page and left a comment saying so.
I think that was probably a good idea to stop and then restart once the series was done because it's a loooot to reread if one needs a recap (which I did).
