State of the Pups: September

General: Girl is doing good and about to get better! (Dawn, Dawn, Dawn, Dawn, Daaaaaaaaaaaaaawn.) I loved her ability during Powers Plot, even if she didn't, it felt a lot like something that would have happened on the show; it was fun to have her thoughts sort of broadcast to anyone around, like the reverse of Earshot. She did speed dating, which is shaping up to be lots of fun even if nothing serious comes of it, and I had this idea for an islandversary EP next month that has to do with letting go of a lot of the resentment she still feels towards Angel for leaving and finally forgiving him, which is something she needs to do even if he's not around, just for herself. And then, I would really like to have her start dating around but ideally have a few relationships that just don't work out? Because she's never had a lot of luck in the romance department and she has a whole lot of baggage when it comes to this stuff, so I really don't think she'd be quick to sort of... give herself to another person, like, really let them in, and so that could create conflict and ultimately be a learning experience for herself. Mostly, I just want to challenge her, because it's easy for her to make friends and care about them but she still isn't at a point where she can speak to anyone other than maybe Spike and Xander about what's actually going through her head.

So! Call this a request of sorts? Anyone out there willing to volunteer a character for what's almost guaranteed to be a doomed, dead-end relationship? (Also, really looking forward to playing with the ~ex dynamic if it finally comes to that, she has such convoluted relationships with all of her exes.)

General: Trucking along. Also did speed dating, mostly because I really needed threads for her and she does need to get out more. That's more my fault than anything else, really, I've been watching a few episodes and am starting to realize that I've really overdone how reserved and secluded she is. Not that she isn't secretive, but she's good at pretending to be someone totally free of worries and especially at making up random shit on the spot, like telling Jack that she made the curtains in her apartment, which probably didn't happen because she's kindasorta been on the run since she left her hometown.

Anyway, currently my goals for her revolve around rewatching more Lost and building on relationships with other characters. I especially want her to find more female friends because I've always loved the kind of interaction she had with Sun and Claire, and even Juliet, even if that was less of a friendship and more of a only-barely-tolerating-you kind of thing with added sexual tension. (That I may have imagined, but whatever, let me have this.)

General: I don't have many solid plants for her at the moment, but she really doesn't need them. She's busy with the start of the semester and very, very pleased because of that, but she's taking more courses than is advisable and is going to be expecting a lot of herself now that she's around some serious and intelligent students as opposed to, you know, Greendale students. Friends will notice that she's spending more and more time studying, when she's not practicing exercises from her self defense class. For Abed, Britta, and Jeff, though, this will probably seem like business as usual. Also, study group! I have a feeling their meetings will simply be excuses to peek into each others business and create drama, which is only right. I definitely want to get Annie more involved in her friends' lives, she has so many looks of disapproval to spread around. Mostly for Jeff. Some for Britta.

Also, impending arrival of Troy means yet another crush to fawn over hopelessly. That should be fun!

General: I suspect that she'll be hating everything a little less now that she has ballet and jazz to let off steam, but she's Santana, so 'a little less' still 'a hell of a lot' by normal people standards. I don't have any immediate plans for her, but being aimless and unhappy doesn't require those, and that's pretty much where she is right now. Besides, there are plans for Brittany in October (!) and that will be all of the plot I could even want. Beyond that, my focus is going to be on further developing her sort-of-friendships with Puck and Kurt, as well as hanging out with the few people she doesn't hate. Possibly something to do with performing, because Kurt's arrival and some impromptu karaoke at the Hub have reminded her of how much she loves it. Jenny and others on her floor might be annoyed by some random breaking into song when she thinks she's alone.

General: I'm already getting the feeling that it's her CR with other characters which will make Anabelle's time on the island most interesting and fun for me to play. She's presently happier than she has ever been before, which I don't see changing anytime soon, so right now, all I really want to do is introduce her to more characters and find her some friends around the island. Elvis is all she needs, she would say, but as enticing as the idea of holing up with him in their hut forever is, she still wants to experience as much of life as possible, and I'd really love for her to ultimately make some close friends and kind of build herself a little island family.

General: Ehe. Ehehe. Ehehehe. I actually have so, so many plans for him; I couldn't stop coming up with things when I was writing his application. Amusement Park plot next month might ruin him for a little while because roller coasters were Judah's thing and he's still in a state of WHO AM I and MY LIFE IS A LIE after discovering that Judah wasn't his biological father. He's also unaware that Nancy conned her way out of certain death in the finale and went to jail instead, which I'll have him discover eventually, but right now I'm just being mean. He's actually started school, finally, after spending a year thinking about it and knowing that he'd not get the chance, but now he's all, my actual father is an idiot, I'm probably destined to be one, too. I'd actually love some threads with his classmates and generally people he'd see around the school! Possibly, even, someone who would be willing to tutor and/or encourage him. And as for long-term plans, he's going to be researching more about botany and trying to recreate something like Milfweed. Maybe, maybe, learning to bake or team up with some people from the bakery and provide the island with some ~enhanced goods. Keeping the family business alive, basically.

Queue: Type? What type? The Doctor Who series finale is almost upon us and provided that there's not even more of Steven Moffat's fuckery that puts me off it completely, I'll finally be working on apping River Song for November. At this point, she's become another one of those "Let me save you from canon!" apps due to it being revealed that she's had the shittiest life ever thanks to the Doctor, around whom that entire life is revolved, because you can't just have a strong woman who in ways seems to be the Doctor's equal. Who would want to watch that? /rantrantrant Anyway, there will be time for all of the glorious Ponds and I'm actually really looking forward to what will basically be the first time she'll have anything approaching a normal life without crazy wibley-wobbly timey-whimey stuff and being all about the Doctor all the time. AND THEN, I am pretty much resigned to the fact that of everyone I'm considering, alternate Olivia Dunham is the loudest and has the most potential. It works out with River coming first because waiting at least through the first half of season four will help me decide whether to take her from season three's reality or this new one that's being set up. Plus, it means the other Olivia will have been on the island that much longer and when her double suddenly appears, there might be some people really thrown off.
